What is this?

A Landbier is a style of German beer with delicate aromas and low alcohol content: in short, a beer to quench your thirst! Landbier translates to “country beer”. Originally, Landbiers (and all beers before they were finally commercialized) were produced from ingredients grown on or near the land.

The Ryde à Louvain, brewed in collaboration with the Montreal microbrewery Silo, is a Landbier with 100% Quebec ingredients. As using local ingredients as much as possible has always been in the DNA of À la Fût cowboys, at Silo they specialize in traditional beer styles with original ingredients. For example, Louvain is a Czech Svetly lezak brewed with grains, yeast and hops from the Czech Republic.

Landbiers are most often blond and filtered, but can also be amber and/or unfiltered. In the Ryde à Louvain, its sweet aromas and supple body pay homage to the delicate and thirst-quenching beers of Silo while its slightly spicy and unfiltered side is cowboy like us. The whole thing is very drinkable, we definitely suggest having a second one on hand.

Finally, for the record, Ryde Street is the location of our first home brews in Montreal and Louvain Street, also in Montreal, is where Silo currently brews.

Cheers!

A Landbier is a style of German beer with delicate aromas and low alcohol content: in short, a beer to […]

[178

post-14473","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-beers
