We never get tired of it! Especially in winter, when sugar season and our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alafut.qc.ca\/en\/biere\/british-a-lerable\/\">British \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9rable <\/a>arrive!<\/p>\n<p>Here is our recipe for a large family or to share with friends:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The day before, soak 1.5 kg of white beans.<\/li>\n<li>The same day, rinse them with plenty of clean water.<\/li>\n<li>In a large ovenproof pot or on the wood stove, place the beans and cover with water.<\/li>\n<li>Add: a can of maple syrup, a can of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alafut.qc.ca\/en\/biere\/british-a-lerable\/\">British \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9rable<\/a>, 1\/2 cube of salted bacon, 1\/4 cup of yellow mustard, 1\/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 chopped onion, a a little salt and pepper to taste.
